PHILL DAVIES 1947 TO 2013

I First met Phill Davies back in 1985 when I first went to  work for Central Radio International

As it was known then

He was wearing his trademark jeans and leather jacket which he was noted for.

Phill done several shows on Central radio including a rock and  also a golden oldies show.

He also appeared throughout the years on other radio stations such as Radio Merseywaves,

Storeton Community Radio and Concept Radio and also had his own Radio Station called

Liverpool Pirate Radio which broadcast locally.

This was heard on the medium wave at first then later on on the FM band.

In later years not much was heard of Phill on the Pirate Radio Scene.

He was one of the characters  of  Radio and had great enthusiasm for doing Pirate Radio. one of his many catchphrases

Where“From the stylus to the wireless” and “Your letters are our wages”.

To sum up in Phills’s own words “Phill Davies was the name piracy was the game”
